postcard

Hannah and I are ok. More than ok, actually, but I wanted to post a word that we weren't put in danger by the tidal waves. At the time we were still in Goa, but by the time we found out about them we were on our way to Northern Kerala, where we are now. We're trying find out what kind of shape the city of Cochi is in, before deciding if we'll continue down there.

We spent Christmas weekend in the town of Arambol at the hospitable Ave Maria Guest House. We shared the flat, expansive beach with a few hundred Europeans and Israelis with disturbingly thourough tans. We sipped screwdrivers made with fresh orange juice and ate prawn curry with our feet in the sand, and it was all very good. That's all for now. Pray for the tsunami victims.
